Reply from Dina Roemer: We were told that we could bring any lamps with us, and just change the plug. But no one told us the following: There are no 3-way bulbs in Israel. Most lamps are 3-way in the U.S. Most standard American chandeliers cazn only use American chandelier bulbs. There are no decent 220 bulbs that fit these chandeliers in Israel. Now we have a beautiful chandelier that requires constantly importing 220 bulbs from the one store in Brooklyn, N.Y. that carries them at a very high price. There are perfectly lovely lighting fixtures and lamps available in Israel at a reasonable price.
